Andee Dale (she/her)
MA, RCC-ACS, CT, ADHD-CCSP

Andee is a Registered Clinical Counsellor with over 15 years of counselling experience, offering in-person counselling in downtown Duncan and online therapy across British Columbia and Alberta. She works with clients who are looking for practical, evidence-based support that helps create meaningful change in everyday life. She works with children (7+), teens, adults, couples and families.

Andee’s approach is grounded in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), EMDR therapy, and structured, skills-based counselling that helps clients understand what they are experiencing internally while also developing tools to respond more effectively in their daily environments.

Counselling for Children, Youth and Families

Andee specializes in counselling for children and teens using a Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) framework, with a strong emphasis on parent/caregiver involvement and home-based strategy implementation.

She works with children experiencing anxiety, emotional dysregulation, behavioural challenges, school-related stress, attention and focus difficulties (including ADHD-related concerns), and difficulty managing big emotions. Her approach is especially effective for families who are open to participating in the counselling process and applying practical strategies at home to support their child’s growth and development.

Andee supports parents and caregivers in understanding their child’s emotional and behavioural needs, while also helping them feel more confident and equipped in responding consistently and effectively. This collaborative, family-centered approach helps bridge the gap between therapy sessions and everyday life.

Therapy for Neurodivergent Women (ADHD, Autism and AuDHD)

Andee has a strong focus on providing counselling for neurodivergent women with diagnosed or suspected ADHD, autism or AuDHD, particularly those navigating ADHD and autism-related burnout.

Many of the clients she works with are high-functioning in external roles but internally experiencing exhaustion, overwhelm, emotional dysregulation, or a sense of constantly pushing through difficult experiences. Therapy focuses on understanding neurodivergence through a compassionate and strengths-based lens, while also identifying burnout patterns and building strategies that are better aligned with attention, energy regulation, and nervous system needs.

Clients are supported in reducing self-criticism and shame, developing sustainable routines, and creating systems that support daily functioning in a way that feels more manageable and realistic.

EMDR Therapy for Trauma

Andee provides EMDR therapy online throughout British Columbia and in person in Duncan, BC for individuals seeking support with trauma, including single-event trauma, relational trauma, and unresolved experiences that continue to affect daily life.

EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is an evidence-based therapeutic approach that helps the brain process and integrate distressing memories so they feel less emotionally overwhelming and less disruptive in the present. Rather than relying solely on talking through past experiences, EMDR works with how trauma is stored in the nervous system, supporting clients in reducing emotional intensity and reactivity over time.

Clients often seek EMDR therapy for symptoms such as anxiety linked to past experiences, emotional triggers, intrusive memories, difficulty feeling safe in relationships, or feeling stuck in patterns that have been difficult to shift through talk therapy alone.

Andee’s approach to trauma therapy is paced, structured, and collaborative, with a focus on helping clients feel grounded and resourced throughout the process. The goal is to support greater emotional regulation, increased stability, and a stronger sense of present-day safety and control.

Other Areas of Practice

Andee also provides counselling for teens and adults navigating a wide range of emotional, behavioural, and life challenges. Her work includes support for anxiety and depression, trauma, grief and loss, relationship difficulties, anger and emotional regulation, stress, parenting challenges, and major life transitions.

For clients struggling with emotional eating, disordered eating patterns, eating disorders, or a difficult relationship with food, Andee provides compassionate support that addresses both the emotional and behavioural aspects of change. She approaches this work from a regulated, skills-based lens that integrates CBT strategies alongside emotional awareness, nervous system regulation, and behaviour change.

Andee works with clients using weight loss medications, including GLP-1 medications, who want support creating sustainable lifestyle changes alongside medical treatment. Therapy may focus on emotional eating, behaviour change, body image, habit formation, self-compassion, and developing a healthier relationship with food to support long-term wellbeing beyond weight loss alone.

Across all areas of her work, Andee focuses on helping clients understand the patterns underlying their difficulties while developing tools that support meaningful and sustainable change.

Approach to Counselling

Andee’s approach integrates Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), EMDR therapy, and skills-based interventions to support clients in creating meaningful and sustainable change. She works collaboratively with clients to identify patterns, strengthen emotional regulation, and develop strategies that can be applied outside of counselling sessions in realistic and manageable ways.

Her focus is on helping clients move from insight into action, building tools that support long-term wellbeing. All services are trauma-informed, solution-focused, and strength-based.
