Victoria Dendy (she/her)

Victoria is a Registered Clinical Counsellor based in Squamish, BC, offering phone and video services to child (8+), youth, and adult clients across Alberta and British Columbia. She works with individuals, couples, and families.
Victoria’s practice is rooted in creating a safe, supportive, and non-judgmental environment where clients can explore their thoughts and feelings openly. She believes in the power of building strong therapeutic relationships grounded in trust and respect. Her goal is to help clients navigate challenges, gain self-awareness, reduce emotional distress, develop mental health strategies, build resilience, and feel empowered to reach their full potential.
Victoria’s primary areas of practice are:
Supporting children (8+), teens, adults, couples, and families to navigate emotional, relational and developmental challenges.
Helping families strengthen communication, reduce conflict, and build secure attachment.
Working with neurodiverse clients (ADHD, autism, etc.) using a strengths-focused, neuroaffirming therapeutic approach.
Offering tailored support for developmental and learning differences.
Providing care for pre- and postpartum mental health, including adjustment to parenthood, experiences of miscarriage or loss, and the diverse paths to pregnancy.

Victoria’s counselling approach is client-centered and integrative, drawing from a variety of therapeutic modalities, including cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT), solution-focused therapy, and mindfulness-based techniques. She integrates Internal Family Systems (IFS) principles to help clients explore and heal inner parts of the self with compassion and curiosity. Victoria tailors her interventions to meet the unique needs of each client, ensuring a personalized and practical counselling experience. She is a trauma-informed and culturally sensitive counsellor who provides affirming support to clients of all gender identities, sexual orientations, and cultural backgrounds.
Drawing on her years as a teacher specializing in mental health and special education, she adopts a compassionate and holistic approach to counselling, prioritizing solution and strength-based therapies in her work with clients.
In addition to her Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology, Victoria holds a Bachelor of Business Administration, a Bachelor of Education, a Post-Graduate Diploma in Special Education, and a Masters in Aboriginal Education. She is a Registered Clinical Counsellor with the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors (BCACC).
In her personal time, Victoria enjoys trail running, decompressing with friends and family, and spending time outside with her husband, daughter, and two amazing dogs.
